A Nashville-based heathcare technology company is seeking an Associate/Assistant General Counsel to join it legal department.  The ideal candidate must have 7-10 years’ experience in healthcare law, technology law, corporate law, and/or regulatory matters.  Duties will include negotiating and drafting customer contracts for healthcare IT, including for software licensing, SAAS solutions, and related and other services; negotiating, drafting, and reviewing vendor and strategic partner contracts, including reseller arrangements, technology and product development, licensing, and services; involvement in transactional matters, including strategy, contract negotiation/drafting/review, and diligence; working with Director of Compliance/others regarding HIPAA and FDA compliance matters; oversight/management of litigation matters, including oversight of outside counsel; and involvement in development, drafting, and oversight of corporate policies and compliance.  HIPAA and FDA compliance experience is not required, but HIPAA experience preferred.  Previous in-house experience preferred.  Employment law experience a plus, but not required.  SEC compliance/reporting experience a plus, but not required.  Candidates must have outstanding professional and academic credentials.  Outstanding compensation, including bonus potential.  Qualified candidates, please submit a resume in Word to Steven.Schryver@EmersonSterling.com.
